Looking at the proofs after the photo shoot, I have to admit, however reluctantly, that it wasn't a complete waste of time.  Despite the way the evening ended, I did come away with some good shots- enough, at least, to pass off to my editor's desk and call the assignment complete.  Someday I'll have the leverage to be able to turn down ridiculous things like that- I can't wait.  I can at least rest assured that the... disruption has been reported to my editor, and they'll hopefully back off the idea of any further shoots there.

Vampires.  Honestly!

Here is my official plea for help... I won't be using your dresses for this shoot, but your help on a, well, personal level would be infinitely appreciated. Finch-Fletchley's rather snide comments have nearly driven me mad already, and I want to keep this professional. Would you mind accompanying me- the guise of a fashion consultant, I suppose?

The assignment across my desk this morning is one that will supposedly take "delicate handling"- apparently WW has been trying to secure this deal for some time. I imagine I ought to be flattered that they think I can handle it, yes, but I can't help but be a bit annoyed by it all. I was looking forward to the shoot with Morag- and, while I'm still determined to get it done, it will mean working a considerable amount of overtime.

I've been given a new assignment, and it's not one I'm looking forward to. I can't give many details yet, and for that I apologize, but I just wanted to let you know. Our winter shoot is still on, if you're still interested, though! I promised. Not to mention that I'm much more likely to make a cover with your dresses than with this new work.
